深津純子   ふかつすみこ
 
2001年に全曲オリジナルのアルバム「フェザー・イン・ジ・エア」、続いて、２作目「スミコ・エン・ラ・ハバナ」を発表した後、３作目目、ドリ・カイミとのコラボレーション「アザ・ブランカ」でBMGからメジャー・デビュー、４作目「キャッチ・ア・レインボー」で、スイングジャーナル誌のゴールドディスクに選定され脚光をあびる。現在までに10枚のリーダーアルバムを発表する。今までにボビー・カルカセス、ケニー・ワーナー、モンティ・アレキサンダー、ベニー・グリーン、ハリー・アレンなどジャズやラテン界の巨匠らとレコーディングなどで共演した。2009,2019,2020年キューバ最大のジャズフェス  Jazz Plazaに招聘され、深津純子グループとして出演。

2013年からは、人々が音楽と自然を通して学び集い、調和の気持ち良さを楽しむためのコミュニティガーデン  ”Leaf& Root” を千葉県館山市にて創設運営し、聴く人を自然へといざなう音楽活動を行っている。

SUMIKO FUKATSU

A unique and original artist, with the ability to implement a wide variety of music into her performances.  Her music is a mixture of Latin and Jazz music, and she has visited Cuba on many occasions, to find the perfect groove in her music.

 

Sumiko has released 10 albums including her 3rd Album “Asa Blanca” for major label BMG Japan(2002). Her 4th Album “Catch a Rainbow (2003) was also selected as a gold disk by Swing Journal.

 

She has recorded with Bobby Carcasses, Dori Caymmi, Kenny Werner, Benny Green, Monty Alexander,  Harry Allen and other jazz greats. 

In 2009, 2019, and 2020, she was invited to Cuba's largest jazz festival, Jazz Plaza, and performed with her group.
 

Since 2013, he has been running "Community garden Leaf & Root" in Tateyama, Chiba, where people can enjoy harmonious life through music and nature.

She is Cultural Ambassador of Tateyama City since 2003.
